Plain weave ( an introduction to rug weaving )

 

2/2 Twills

3-end Block weave

4-end Block weave

The classes can run from 3 to 5 days.

The 3 and 4 day classes require students to come pre-warped (instructions will be sent out prior to class),In a 5 day class we warp during the class, Any four harness loom is fine, including table looms

All the above classes will include instruction on how to set up ones loom correctly for rug weaving. Twining at the beginning and end of the rug, darning in of the loose ends, use of the temple and many other invaluable tips for successful rug weaving.
Each class concludes with a look at rug finishes, many finishes will be demonstrated.

I also can offer 1- 2 hr presentations to local guilds.
