Enjoy a weeks weaving retreat in the Suffolk countryside Situated in the Stour valley, the beautiful village of Nayland is home to the Collingwood weaving workshop Housed in the old Victorian village school the workshop has all you need for weaving rugs.
Spend the week working on the unique Harrisville Designs rug loom, the only loom with the shaft switching apparatus and warp extender.
Design, choose your colours and weave your own shaft switched rug.
Or if you prefer, weave on the sample loom trying out various flat woven techniques, ranging from plain weave, twills and blockweaves.
Whether you chose to sample or weave a full size rug both looms are pre warped with linen and you will have access to all the rug wool in the workshop inclusive in the price. (if you have particular colours you would like to weave your rug in please send me samples well in advance and I will try to ensure I have these shades in the workshop ready for you).
Jason will be in the workshop with you all week to offer one on one tuition, guiding you through the entire weaving process to ensure you leave at the end of the week with your own rug and some invaluable weaving hints and tips.
